Jumbled Sentences, Grade 3 - 4 and Cylinders
I mentioned last week that it's been difficult to find a suitable online maths course, to further develop my own skills. While I think I'm a fairly independent learner, I still like to be given some sense of direction ... start from 'easy,' progress to 'difficult.'
But instead, a lot of the online resources simply offered 'topics,' with no sense of progression. A number of students have reported a similar frustration with online work. While there is plenty available, it can be disjointed, and it's difficult to get a feel for the finish line.
That's why I like First Class Learning. Topics build step by step, the modules give a thorough understanding of each stage, and you'll always get the best support we can give.
Key Stage 2 (years 3 - 6)
Good to see students completing last weeks anagrams materials. These are always popular ... and here's a similar worksheet on jumbled sentences.
one? complete you each Can.
Key Stage 3 (years 7 - 9)
It's interesting that many many quite like completing tests at the centre. The materials can be challenging, but it's good to see students reaching forwards and working hard to achieve good results.
Here's a grade 3 - 4 test, answers and video walkthough that might be good practice for years 7 - 9.
Key Stage 4 (years 10 - 11)
Calculating volume and surface area of a cylinder is a favourite GCSE calculator question. They can sometimes involve 'how much liquid or paint is required' ... but this worksheet will give you the general idea.
Please do visit 3minutemaths.co.uk for GCSE preparation, and let me know if you need any support. There's quite a few topic tests, exam walkthroughs, questions, answers ....
Have a great week
