Missing Words, Fractions & Surds
Hi
I'm beginning to quite enjoy writing these newsletters and, as mentioned last week, it's good to see older posts are still being read occasionally. Looking back, here's one that isn't at all based on maths ... but I hope is of interest:
Improve your written English – four awesome top tips
... any feedback always appreciated :-)
Key Stage 2
Thank you to C & S for sending their anagrams - I hope you enjoyed making them as much as I enjoyed trying them out :-) Will publish soon, although in the meantime, here's a worksheet that might make sense.
Key Stage 3
Fraction calculations are becoming more popular for GCSE questions, although it's not just the standard 'add, subtract, multiply, divide' ones.
Here's a worksheet that is only 'multiply,' but includes word problems.
Key Stage 4
One of my favourite maths words is 'surds.' Along with 'circumference' and 'polynomial' there is a richness in the language that I hope we continue to celebrate.
Anyway, back to surds.
Looking forward to seeing you soon

PS. I was going to tell you a joke about statistics - but you probably already know it.
