Noun Phrases, Percentages and June 2019 paper 1
Along with trying to deepen my understanding of maths by attending a (carefully chosen) online course, I've also had the opportunity to get involved in developing English materials.
While there are some excellent worksheets available - as with maths - it's quite difficult to find suitable materials. Although we are fortunate to have a wide range of bespoke worksheets, and take pride in ensuring that each one is useful to encourage students on their academic journey.
Key Stage 2 (2nd to 5th Grade)
The students studying English continue to impress, and there has been a significant improvement in creative writing. It's perhaps the most difficult area to work through, and requires constant focus.
Here's a good exercise to help develop this key skill. An 'expanded noun phrase' gives more detail or information about a noun ... usually done by adding adjectives:
She walked through the dark, mysterious forest.
Can you create your own, after you've worked through the questions below?
Key Stage 3 (6th to 8th Grade)
Percentages are certainly a key skill for all GCSE study, and definitely feature in ... pretty much ... every exam.
And they are very useful in real life :-)
Key Stage 4 (9th and 10th Grade)
Good to see many students completing GCSE past papers, and working hard to achieve the very best grades.
Here's the questions, fully worked answers and a walkthrough video - please do let me know if you need any help, and always pleased to mark / feedback.
Have a great week.

PS. And finally, the joke of the day:
Why won’t elephants use a computer?
….They're afraid of the mouse.
