SATS Algebra, Quick Test and Predicted Topics
It's good to see students attending consistently and, as we draw nearer to national exams, there is a sense of confidence developing. I still remember giving worksheets on fractions to many year 11’s .... now they'll happily deal with some quite sophisticated mathematical questions - with a good deal of assurance.
These young people will go on to brilliant careers, and we’re delighted that the tution centre has helped to encourage them on their journey.
Thank you to everyone who has visited my Substack - the previous newsletters have been added .... offering an easy to use, searchable, archive.

Key Stage 2 (2nd to 5th Grade)
'Algebra' is usually introduced in the early stage of Year 6, and many students enjoy this particular aspect of the curriculum.
Here's a few pages from an algebra booklet, to give you an idea of the types of questions. Please do let me know if you need any support - or send the completed work, and we're happy to mark / feedback.
Key Stage 3 (6th to 8th Grade)
There's quite a focus on testing at this time of the year and, although years 7 - 9 aren't quite ready for national exams, many schools will use the Spring term to evaluate a student's progress. Here's a maths test to help revise some of the core topics.
Key Stage 4 (9th and 10th Grade)
I try to consistently post videos to my YouTube channel, and am always pleased to receive comments from students.
One of the more popular playlists is 'Predicted 2023 GCSE maths questions' - currently 16 videos - and more being added each week. Hope it's useful!
Have a great week

PS. And finally, a clever joke of the day:
I saw my maths teacher lock herself in her office with a piece of graph paper.
She must be plotting something.
