SATS Quiz, Estimation, Cosine Rule
It's always good to see the amazing commitment from many students creating high quality work, every week. Successful results come from continued, sustained, effort.
That dedication has created an excellent pathway for one of our hard working assistants. Anas has his sights firmly focussed on a career in the sciences. Although, in the meantime, his consistent effort, warm personality and detailed knowledge is a considerable asset to the Saturday morning class.
Best best tips for success? 'Practice, check the mark schemes ... and practice some more.' Definitely agreed and, after Anas achieved grade 9 in all his GCSE's, it's great advice. We're delighted that Anas has chosen to work with us, and are certain he has a great future!
Key Stage 2 (2nd to 5th Grade)
Good to see some students completing last week's short quiz and thank you for sending the answers. Here's another short quiz to help with SATS revision.
Key Stage 3 (6th to 8th Grade)
Estimation is probably the most popular maths skill - from estimating change, to how long it'll take, to how far it is ... you'll estimate quite frequenly.
Here's a worksheet to try - it should take you around (maybe) 20 minutes ish?
Key Stage 4 (9th & 10th Grade)
Continuing our work through grade 7 questions, here's a worksheet on cosine rule. These are the type of questions that generally appear towards the middle / end of GCSE papers.
Please do let me know what you think.
Looking forward to seeing you soon

PS. How many seconds in a year?
365 days x 24 hours x 60 minutes x 60 seconds…or 31,536,000.
That's over 31 million seconds :-)
