SATS Sample, Best Value and Density
Maths as a career?
For some students, it's far too early to be asking that question. There's many years of education ahead, and future careers may not have been invented. Amazing technologies are being developed, and we've every reason to be optimistic about future employment.
With many of the students we're lucky to work with, there's a definite potential to be the ones who shape the future. Perhaps their skill is in maths, English, art, history or design - whatever it is, it's important to keep developing expertise - and now is a good time to start.
Key Stage 2 (years 3 - 6)
The Saturday SATS group continues to perform well - and it's good to see some incredibly diligent work. Very well done to those who are able to attend ... and a few who can't - but complete the materials anyway!
Here's part of a maths paper - please do work through and submit for marking.
Key Stage 3 (years 7 - 9)
Thank you to those students who completed last week's bearings questions.
Another popular GCSE topic is 'Best Buys' - here's the worksheet ... always better to attempt without a calculator :-)
Key Stage 4 (years 10 - 11)
Definitely better with a calculator would be density problems. Here's a range of reasonably typical GCSE exam questions.
Please always let me know if you need any help, thoughts, ideas, ways forward ....
Have a great week
